What If Episode 6- Kill Monger rescued Tony Stark

The best Introduction of the series comes from a beautiful monologue by The Watcher:- 

"Heroes are not born, They are forged in darkness. Shaped in Battle. Defined by Sacrifice."

This monologue defines the fate of Iron Man where the question ponders What If Tony Stark was rescued by Kill Monger in Afghanistan.  

The basic plot begins with this event, which leads to Tony Stark remaining the same arrogant, billionaire, arms-dealer, playboy prior to Afghanistan and Killmonger taking over the position of Obadiah Stane. Every MCU fan is familiar with the intentions of Kill Monger and the plot moves towards the specific dream and executions of Kill Monger, including the elimination of some of the heroes.

 

We have come across different sets of universe designed by different decisions or different circumstances. Every Universe deviating from the main time line is chaotic in one form or the other, with least being Captain Carter. Lets delve into some interesting aspects of Episode 6:-

1. Return of Kill Monger:-  Kill Monger was a star character in Black Panther with one of the best music themes. It was quite a fun to listen back to that peppy theme, but the evil intentions and determination to make it happen was admirable and scary. The return of Kill monger to his original spot of death in the original time line, along with T'Chaka was more of a symbolic. Not the least, a tonal difference in war cry 'Wakanda Forever'  by T'Challa and KillMonger speaks a lot.

2. Violence:- What if episodes have come up far in terms of violence when compared to its counterpart movies and this makes its execution convincing from other animated series.  It would have been a treat if Marvel chose to use these realistic violence in their live action movies, unafraid of the ratings.

3. Tony Stark:- As the watcher say the way heroes are forged, we come across a different Tony Stark whose arrogance and intelligence have paved the way for a chaotic universe. A vision of this Tony Stark brings forth a question "What would have been the outcome of war with Thanos If Iron Man was not in the timeline?"

Something funny pops out that why is the death of Tony Stark in MCU a recurrent theme. (Puns intended)

4. Feminism:- Marvel have always come up with brave female character and What if takes a giant leap in their representation. While in a world without Avengers, we come across Captain Marvel taking the lead, The Wasp as a more mature and a commanding character in What If Zombie Apocalypse, here we come across Pepper and Shuri who decide to take over the lead reiterating the concept of HERO as said by Watcher.

As I have said in my previous article, It would have been a genuine fun to watch the continuation of these cliff hanger episodes to see how these alternate timeliness behave at the very end.
